What you should know

This is a single day backcountry tour. You should have enough strength for 2-5 hours touring. We highly recommend you to check with the following “what should I grab with me” list:

  • Get some snack with you
  • Water, camelback or even thermos
  • Avalanche beacon, avalanche shovel and avalanche probe (avalung backpack if any)
  • Snowshoes or touring skis / splitboard
  • Camera
  • At least one crazy friend

You will have to manage your transportation from Karakol to the starting point by your own unless we have a special agreement on this point. Riding backcountry means high risks in getting trauma. Some slopes are avalanche-dangerous. Riding such areas requires an avalanche beacon, shovel and a probe, plus you should never ride alone and have an experienced guide within your group.
